My first incoming link
My blog got its first incoming link today. And What a better way to start than getting a link from Amit himself, who got me hooked to blogging. Cheers!!
On another note, Why i haven't get mention from any where else? Well.. I blog very less and have been active since past one month or so only. Regarding getting mentions from my colleagues and former classmates.. Well.. Most of them are dead bloggers. They write blogs, but usually to write about themselves and with frequencies around one post per three months on an average. I hope, You get the idea.
Anyways, I'm not complaining. My google page rank has shot from "zero" to "four" in just one single day. Huh! Why Google why? My blog didn't raise its quality in just one single day. You've got to change your algorithms for freshers, I demand!!

Hey. I forgot to link you in my mention as well. An issue that's now fixed. Though it's still within Vox, so I doubt it means much.
Where do you check google rank anyways?
:) Well.. I'm not blaming you anyways for not linking me. You mentioned my name, that is more than enough.
Regarding page-rank, I installed the Google tool bar for Firefox, which has a PageRank tab included. However, at this moment, My page rank has dipped to "zero" again :) Anyways, It doesn't matter. I'm not an owner of e-commerce website and I write for myself and my circle of friends only, and to explore the World besides me. So, the quantity of traffic is immaterial to me compared to quality of traffic (praise for you :) ). And yes, I love the fact that you comment regularly on my blog and the discussion we're having with each other through this blog.
Congrats. I offer a contrarian view: don't worry about commenters and incoming links. Imagine that you are reader, and write for that reader :-)
Success may or may not follow. But you'll enjoy yourself.

Regarding that incoming link thing, Yes I understand your view. Anyways, I've been reading You, Amit Verma, Atanu Dey for quite some time now and I very well understand that It's the content and blog readers' enthusiasm that keeps the blog going and not the incoming links and search engine optimizations. It's just that, This was my first time :)))) Hehe.
